My Observations <\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Date:<\/strong> March 05, 2024 @08:45 am<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Area:<\/strong> I go wherever I want part 2, somewhere below Peachland Lake and above the Headwaters Lakes, definitely near Trout Creek up there,, 4km loop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Temperature:<\/strong> -10C<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weather:<\/strong> High overcast and sun, trying to make an effort at snowing<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visibility:<\/strong> Excellent<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conditions: <\/strong>Fluffy, light and slow fresh snow about 1\u201d new, untouched snow!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Observations:<\/strong> Had no real plans on where to go this morning, so I just\u2026.went.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thought I would take a look at the \u201cother side\u201d , maybe Bolivar, then I just kept driving. I have never skied around the Headwaters area\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I found an old ski doo track across from the family cabin turnoff for the HEadwaters, so I followed that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gorgeous snow today! As I headed up I couldn’t believe how close I was to Peachland lake! There is a chain of smaller lakes ahead of me, I think one may be called Trout lake, but that is a guess as the creek draining from it is called Trout Creek..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looks like an old cut block scene from long ago that was allowed to reclaim itself, Isn\u2019t it amazing what nature can do if left alone?  It got really thick and challenging to get through in some places, but I did eventually end up near the said Lakes. I was at a point where I decide to re-trace my path back (known), or fully commit to trying to find my way back (unknown). Heck, what could go wrong?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beautiful ski today! Lovely hearing the phishing of the skis on fresh snow! No wildlife again today, but I could see tons of old binny tracks and the odd deer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
