First Nations

We realize the local Nations in this area need to be involved in the movement to save all old growth forests, therefore we have asked them to assist WPA in saving these old growth polygons form partial clear cut logging.

The true value of these forests in our community drinking water shed lies not in 2x4s, pellets and toilet paper but in reliable water, shade, flood control, habitat, biodiversity, drought and fire resistance. We appreciate the traditional ecological knowledge or our local First Nations will agree that we do not need to clear cut forests to profit form them.
