My Observations
Date: September 12, 2025 @0900
Area: Peachland FSR
Temperature: +28C
Weather: Sunny
Wind: Light
Visibility: Excellent
Conditions: Hot
Observations: Today and yesterday, I went up to the same area, just 2 different roads. When I see these roads, I always wonder where they go, so why not look?
Previously logged in 1982 – 43 years ago (I was 11 years old!) and replanted 39 years ago. It was interesting to see how things were looking since then. The area that had been treated didn’t look too bad. A nice variety of trees, different stages of growth, a good mix of old and new at different stages of their life cycle, a little thick, but I could still see spaces that I would like to walk into.
Then I got higher up and saw evidence of newer logging blocks, with lots of open spaces (left bare) and others with tightly planted little trees.
