B’s Watershed Watch Update November 22, 2024

November 22, 2024 by Barb H

Barb Haley, Watershed Watch Chair

My Observations

Date: November 22, 2024 @0900am

Area: Munro FSR

Temperature: 2C

Weather: Snowing!

Visibility: Perfect

Conditions: Fluffy!!

Observations: A new favroite place!

Earlier this year, I was finally able to “see where this old road goes”.

Hiked in first, then convinced the hubby to drive me in further, but we didn’t get too far.

I meant to come back and check it out with my mountain bike, but never got around to it, but I will!

I love this place!! So peaceful and gorgeous, and bonus, more new places to check out!

On my way back to my trck, I ran into a couple guys in their sidexside who were kind enough to warn me that there is a confirmed sighting of a cougar who was sitting on her kill….somewhere behind me. I.m glad I turned around when I did I guess! I am always looking around as we hike and explore, looking for tracks that would give me reason to re-evaluate my travel. I saw no tracks yet, but when I have come across fresh kitty tracks, my radar is definitely on high alert, and it’s probably good to back-track!
