B’s Watershed Watch Update February 20, 2025

February 20, 2025 by Barb H

Barb Haley, Watershed Watch Chair

My Observations

S

Date: February 20, 2025 @1100

Area: Fir Lane

Temperature: +4C

Weather: Clear

Wind: Calm to light

Visibility: Good

Conditions: Excellent

Observations: What an amazing day! Fresh snow about 4″ depth at about 2.5ft, the sun is out and it feel so nice!

Even the trees were enjoying the sunny warmth! So look out for the drips and the snow-bombs falling from the trees above!

Wasn’t so much a ski today, more like a weighted trudge in the snow with 2×4’s stuck to my feet. But I think the dogs had it worse….not that they would ever complain about running around free in the forest!

4km loop back to the truck, the last bit was on Brenda Mines Road (where my skis actually got to glide finally!)

Hello!

She cares not!
