B’s Watershed Watch Update April 07, 2025

April 7, 2025 by Barb H

Barb Haley, Watershed Watch Chair

My Observations

Date: April 07, 2025 @0900

Area: Somewhere off the side of Princeton Road

Temperature: +9C

Weather: Overcast, kinda drizzly

Wind: Light

Visibility: Excellent

Conditions: Springy!

Observations: WELCOME TO PEACHLAND’S NEW COMPOST AND RECYCLING CENTER!!

Wonders never cease.

Some people complain about the state of our backcountry with garbage deposits, and forestry doing what they want clearcutting…..and complain about the increase in forest fires and Urban Interface Fires in our community.

Then, some of those same people are out there in the back country above peachland depositing their unwanted yard waste and/or garbage, all because it’s too inconvenient to drive a little farther to dispose of it properly…

Shame on you, and you know who you are. If you are reading this and not-guilty. See what not to do. Observe and report! Help me and help the forest, clean up what you can!
